My Values

Awareness

I seek to foster an awareness of self, the other, and our world. This entails an ability to identify needs and feelings and to recognize the impact that the way we meet our needs and express our feelings has on ourselves and the world around us.

Relationship

I believe that all learning takes place through relationship (our relationship to ourselves, to each other, and to our world).  It is essential to be able to form and maintain healthy and life-giving relationships.

Compassion

Recognizing our human interdependence, I believe that compassion towards self and others is essential for wholeness, both at the personal and global levels.  Compassion entails authentic connection that inspires acts of kindness with the intention to alleviate suffering.
